In the US there is a purpose built, and frankly superb truck based on the Mercedes, badged a Dodge, called the Lopes 55.

Fairly obviously it’s the brainchild of Brain Lopes (himself no stranger to Europe, probably where he got the inspiration from?) who then went back to the US and spoke with Sportsmobile, who know a few things about campers and toy haulers.
